Rakesh Satyal is a visionary Nepalese researcher and entrepreneur, a unique blend of analytical precision and a deep passion for the science of essential oils. Holding an MSc in Mathematics and its applications enriched by strong analytical skills, Rakesh seamlessly integrates the rigor of mathematical modeling with the intricate chemistry of natural products.

Currently, Rakesh Satyal holds significant roles as Satellite Lab Director at Aromatic Plant Research Center LLC, Data Specialist & Contractor at doTERRA International LLC, and serves as a chief director in other institutions. Building upon his entrepreneurial foundation as the former CEO of Annapurna Aroma, he now spearheads the Analytica Research Center (ARC) in Kirtipur, Nepal, establishing it as a hub of innovation dedicated to elucidating the complexities of essential oils and combating adulteration.

Rakesh's pioneering spirit is evidenced by his remarkable track record: he has personally overseen the analysis of over 130,000 essential oil samples and contributed to over 15 scientific studies, alongside numerous national and international presentations, consistently pushing the boundaries of understanding in the field. His groundbreaking work includes the creation of the methods, mass spectral library and enantiometric distribution (chirality) specifically designed for the rapid detection of essential oil adulteration, a crucial tool for ensuring product authenticity. Furthermore, he has spearheaded the development of AI-powered GC-MS software, poised to revolutionize the industry by automating the intricate processes of purity and origin analysis.

His dedication to advancing the field is further highlighted by his close collaboration with world-renowned scientists. He actively works alongside Dr. William N. Setzer, a globally recognized authority in essential oil research, and Dr. Prabodh Satyal, a celebrated young scientist in the field known for his groundbreaking work on essential oil analysis and adulteration detection.
